A great start for 2nd half of the year, rather rainy one. We started the tour led by our most recent addition to the TREE team, Louise. First stop was the very beautiful & serene Kranji War Memorial..Where fallen heroes from the war as well as Singapore’s first two Presidents,Mr Yusof Ishak & Mr Benjamin H. Sheares were laid to rest. The weather kind of set the mood for all of us who were there. Cool breeze & light rain pelting on us whilst we say a little prayer for the brave.
Second part of the tour, we took the northern green corridor route all the way towards Bukit Timah. This was when it gets challenging. Barely 10 minutes into the trail, the rain starts pouring down. The rain sure did not dampen the mood of the participants and so onward we marched.
